DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 91/2024

amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement [2024/1905]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/923 of 3 May 2023 amending Annex XVII to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards lead and its compounds in PVC ( 1 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1530 of 6 July 2023 approving Chrysanthemum cinerariaefolium extract from open and mature flowers of Tanacetum cinerariifolium obtained with hydrocarbon solvents as an active substance for use in biocidal products of product-type 18 in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council ( 2 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(3) Annex II to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

Chapter XV of Annex II to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows:

The following indent is added in point 12zc (Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council):

‘—

32023 R 0923 : Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/923 of 3 May 2023 ( OJ L 123, 8.5.2023, p. 1 ).’

The following point is inserted after point 12zzzzzzzzzzd (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/2619):

‘12zzzzzzzzzze.

32023 R 1530 : Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1530 of 6 July 2023 approving Chrysanthemum cinerariaefolium extract from open and mature flowers of Tanacetum cinerariifolium obtained with hydrocarbon solvents as an active substance for use in biocidal products of product-type 18 in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council ( OJ L 186, 25.7.2023, p. 16 ).’

Article 2

The texts of Regulation (EU) 2023/923 and Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1530 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union , shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 27 April 2024, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made ( *1 ) .

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union .
