DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 243/2023

amending Annex XXI (Statistics) to the EEA Agreement [2024/979]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/2279 of 1 August 2022 supplementing Regulation (EU) 2019/1700 of the European Parliament and of the Council by specifying the number and titles of the variables for the use of information and communication technologies statistics domain for the reference year 2023 ( 1 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/1399 of 1 August 2022 specifying the technical items of the data set, establishing the technical formats for transmission of information and specifying the arrangements and content of the quality reports on the organisation of a sample survey in the use of information and communication technologies domain for the reference year 2023 in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2019/1700 of the European Parliament and of the Council ( 2 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(3) Annex XXI to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

The following points are inserted after point 18qo (Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2021/466) of Annex XXI to the EEA Agreement:

32022 R 1399 : Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/1399 of 1 August 2022 specifying the technical items of the data set, establishing the technical formats for transmission of information and specifying the arrangements and content of the quality reports on the organisation of a sample survey in the use of information and communication technologies domain for the reference year 2023 in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2019/1700 of the European Parliament and of the Council ( OJ L 213, 16.8.2022, p. 13 ).

Article 2

The texts of Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/2279 and Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/1399 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union , shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 23 September 2023, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made ( *1 ) .

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union .
