DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 103/2023

amending Annex X (Services in general) to the EEA Agreement [2023/2290]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (‘the EEA Agreement’), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2020/1023 of 15 July 2020 amending Implementing Decision (EU) 2019/1765 as regards the cross-border exchange of data between national contact tracing and warning mobile applications with regard to combatting the COVID-19 pandemic ( 1 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Annex X to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

The following is added in point 2f (Commission Implementing Decision 2019/1765) of Annex X to the EEA Agreement:

‘, as amended by:

— 32020 D 1023 : Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2020/1023 of 15 July 2020 ( OJ L 227I, 16.7.2020, p. 1 ).’

Article 2

The text of Implementing Decision (EU) 2020/1023 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union , shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 29 April 2023, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made ( *1 ) , or on the day of the entry into force of Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 102/2023 of 28 April 2023 ( 2 ) , whichever is the later.

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union .
