DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 97/2023

amending Annex VI (Social security) to the EEA Agreement [2023/2251]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Decision No H12 of 19 October 2021 concerning the date to be taken into consideration for determining the rates of conversion referred to in Article 90 of Regulation (EC) No 987/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council ( 1 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Decision No H12 replaces Decision No H3 ( 2 ) , which is incorporated into the EEA Agreement and which is consequently to be repealed under the EEA Agreement.

(3) Annex VI to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

Annex VI to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows:

The following point is inserted after point 3.H11 (Decision No H11) of Annex VI to the EEA Agreement:

‘3.H12

32022 D 0228(01) : Decision No H12 of 19 October 2021 concerning the date to be taken into consideration for determining the rates of conversion referred to in Article 90 of Regulation (EC) No 987/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council ( OJ C 93, 28.2.2022, p. 6 ).’

The text of point 3.H3 (Decision No H3) is deleted.

Article 2

The text of Decision No H12 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union , shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 29 April 2023, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made ( *1 ) .

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union .
