DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 155/2023

amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) and Annex IV (Energy) to the EEA Agreement [2023/2552]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Commission Regulation (EU) 2019/1784 of 1 October 2019 laying down ecodesign requirements for welding equipment pursuant to Directive 2009/125/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council ( 1 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Annexes II and IV to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

The following point is inserted after point 6x (Commission Regulation (EU) No 2019/2024) of Chapter IV of Annex II to the EEA Agreement:

‘6y.

32019 R 1784 : Commission Regulation (EU) 2019/1784 of 1 October 2019 laying down ecodesign requirements for welding equipment pursuant to Directive 2009/125/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council ( OJ L 272, 25.10.2019, p. 121 ).’

Article 2

The following point is inserted after point 26y (Commission Regulation (EU) No 2019/2024) of Annex IV to the EEA Agreement:

‘26z.

Article 3

The text of Regulation (EU) 2019/1784 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union , shall be authentic.

Article 4

This Decision shall enter into force on 14 June 2023, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made ( *1 ) .

Article 5

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union .
