DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 30/2021

amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement [2024/6]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2020/1036 of 15 July 2020 on the non-approval of certain active substances in biocidal products pursuant to Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council ( 1 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2020/1037 of 15 July 2020 postponing the expiry date of approval of acrolein for use in biocidal products of product-type 12 ( 2 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(3) Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2020/1038 of 15 July 2020 postponing the expiry date of approval of creosote for use in biocidal products of product-type 8 ( 3 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(4) Annex II to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

The following points are inserted after point 12zzzzzzl (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/1435) of Chapter XV of Annex II to the EEA Agreement:

32020 D 1038 : Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2020/1038 of 15 July 2020 postponing the expiry date of approval of creosote for use in biocidal products of product-type 8 ( OJ L 227, 16.7.2020, p. 74 ).’

Article 2

The texts of Implementing Decisions (EU) 2020/1036, (EU) 2020/1037 and (EU) 2020/1038 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union , shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 6 February 2021, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made ( *1 ) .

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union .
