DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 113/2021

of 19 March 2021

amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) and Annex IV (Energy) to the EEA Agreement [2024/123]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/2013 of 11 March 2019 supplementing Regulation (EU) 2017/1369 of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to energy labelling of electronic displays and repealing Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No 1062/2010 ( 1 ) , as corrected by OJ L 50, 24.2.2020, p. 18 , is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/2014 of 11 March 2019 supplementing Regulation (EU) 2017/1369 of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to energy labelling of household washing machines and household washer-dryers and repealing Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No 1061/2010 and Commission Directive 96/60/EC ( 2 ) , as corrected by OJ L 50, 24.2.2020, p. 19 , is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(3) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/2015 of 11 March 2019 supplementing Regulation (EU) 2017/1369 of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to energy labelling of light sources and repealing Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No 874/2012 ( 3 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(4) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/2016 of 11 March 2019 supplementing Regulation (EU) 2017/1369 of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to energy labelling of refrigerating appliances and repealing Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No 1060/2010 ( 4 ) , as corrected by OJ L 50, 24.2.2020, p. 21 , is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(5) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/2017 of 11 March 2019 supplementing Regulation (EU) 2017/1369 of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to energy labelling of household dishwashers and repealing Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No 1059/2010 ( 5 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(6) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/2018 of 11 March 2019 supplementing Regulation (EU) 2017/1369 of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to energy labelling of refrigerating appliances with a direct sales function ( 6 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(7) Annexes II and IV to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

Chapter IV of Annex II to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows:

The texts of points 4e (Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No 874/2012), 4i (Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No 1059/2010), 4j (Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No 1060/2010), 4k (Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No 1061/2010) and 4l (Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No 1062/2010) are deleted.

Article 2

Annex IV to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows:

Article 3

The texts of Delegated Regulations (EU) 2019/2013, as corrected by OJ L 50, 24.2.2020, p. 18 , (EU) 2019/2014, as corrected by OJ L 50, 24.2.2020, p. 19 , (EU) 2019/2015, (EU) 2019/2016, as corrected by OJ L 50, 24.2.2020, p. 21 , (EU) 2019/2017 and (EU) 2019/2018 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union , shall be authentic.

Article 4

This Decision shall enter into force on 20 March 2021, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made ( *1 ) .

Article 5

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union .
