DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 391/2021

amending Annex XIII (Transport) to the EEA Agreement [2024/654]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (‘the EEA Agreement’), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/541 of 26 March 2021 amending Regulation (EU) No 1305/2014 as regards the simplification and improvement of data calculation and exchange and the update of the Change Control Management process ( 1 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Annex XIII to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

Point 37h (Commission Regulation (EU) No 1305/2014) of Annex XIII to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows:

(1) the following indent is added:

‘-

32021 R 0541 : Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/541 of 26 March 2021 ( OJ L 108, 29.3.2021, p. 19 ).’;

(2) the text of the adaptation is replaced by the following:

‘The following subparagraph shall be added after the third subparagraph of section 7.1(a) of the Annex:

“The EFTA Surveillance Authority shall have observer status in the Steering Committee.” ’

Article 2

The text of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/541 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union , shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 11 December 2021, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made ( *1 ) , or on the day of the entry into force of Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 248/2021 of 24 September 2021 ( 2 ) , whichever is the later.

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union .
