    COUNCIL DECISION

    of 12 July 2005

    appointing a Vice-President of the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (Trade Marks and Designs) and three chairpersons of Boards of Appeal of the office

    THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,
    Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Community,
    Having regard to Council Regulation (EC) No 40/94 of 20 December 1993 on the Community trade mark(1), and in particular Articles 120 and 131 thereof,
    Having regard to the candidates put forward by the Administrative Board of the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (Trade Marks and Designs) on 25 May 2005,
    HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:

    Article 1

    Mr Peter LAWRENCE, born in London (United Kingdom) on 5 August 1954, is hereby appointed Vice-President of the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (Trade Marks and Designs) for a period of five years.

    Article 2

    Mr Detlef SCHENNEN, born in Münster (Germany) on 10 September 1956, Mr Théophilos MARGELLOS, born in Athens (Greece) on 21 November 1953, and Mr Tomás DE LAS HERAS, born in Zamora (Spain) on 22 July 1951, are hereby appointed chairpersons of Boards of Appeal of the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (Trade Marks and Designs) for a period of five years.

    Article 3

    The dates on which the five-year periods referred to in Articles 1 and 2 start shall be determined by the Administrative Board of the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (Trade Marks and Designs).
