COUNCIL DECISION (EU) 2022/1951

appointing the Secretary-General of the Council of the European Union for the period from 1 November 2022 to 31 October 2027

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,

Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, and in particular Article 240(2), first subparagraph, thereof,

Whereas the Secretary-General of the Council of the European Union should be appointed for the period from 1 November 2022 to 31 October 2027,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

Ms Thérèse BLANCHET is hereby appointed Secretary-General of the Council of the European Union for the period from 1 November 2022 to 31 October 2027.

Article 2

This Decision shall be notified to Ms Thérèse BLANCHET by the President of the Council.

It shall take effect on the date of its notification.

This Decision shall be published in the

Official Journal of the European Union
