DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 72/2022

amending Annex V (Free movement of workers) and Annex VIII (Right of establishment) to the EEA Agreement [2022/1140]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (‘the EEA Agreement’), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/256 of 22 February 2022 amending Regulation (EU) 2021/953 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the issuance of certificates of recovery based on rapid antigen tests ( 1 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Annexes V and VIII to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

The following indent is added in point 10 (Regulation (EU) 2021/953 of the European Parliament and of the Council) of Annex V to the EEA Agreement:

‘—

32022 R 0256 : Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/256 of 22 February 2022 ( OJ L 42, 23.2.2022, p. 4 ).’

Article 2

The following indent is added in point 11 (Regulation (EU) 2021/953 of the European Parliament and of the Council) of Annex VIII to the EEA Agreement:

‘—

32022 R 0256 : Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/256 of 22 February 2022 ( OJ L 42, 23.2.2022, p. 4 ).’

Article 3

The text of Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/256 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union , shall be authentic.

Article 4

This Decision shall enter into force on 19 March 2022, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made ( *1 ) .

Article 5

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union .
