DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 136/2022

amending Annex V (Free movement of workers) and Annex VIII (Right of establishment) to the EEA Agreement [2022/1580]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (‘the EEA Agreement’), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/503 of 29 March 2022 amending Regulation (EU) 2021/953 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards exempting minors from the acceptance period of vaccination certificates issued in the EU Digital COVID Certificate format ( 1 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/483 of 21 March 2022 amending Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1073 laying down technical specifications and rules for the implementation of the trust framework for the EU Digital COVID Certificate established by Regulation (EU) 2021/953 of the European Parliament and of the Council ( 2 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

Annexes V and VIII to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

Annex V to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows:

The following indent is added in point 10 (Regulation (EU) 2021/953 of the European Parliament and of the Council):

‘—

32022 R 0503 : Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/503 of 29 March 2022 ( OJ L 102, 30.3.2022, p. 8 ).’

The following indent is added in point 10a (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1073):

‘—

32022 D 0483 : Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/483 of 21 March 2022 ( OJ L 98, 25.3.2022, p. 84 ).’

Article 2

Annex VIII to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows:

The following indent is added in point 11 (Regulation (EU) 2021/953 of the European Parliament and of the Council):

‘—

32022 R 0503 : Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/503 of 29 March 2022 ( OJ L 102, 30.3.2022, p. 8 ).’

The following indent is added in point 11a (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1073):

‘—

32022 D 0483 : Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/483 of 21 March 2022 ( OJ L 98, 25.3.2022, p. 84 ).’

Article 3

The texts of Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/503 and Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/483 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union , shall be authentic.

Article 4

This Decision shall enter into force on 30 April 2022, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made ( * ) .

Article 5

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union .
